The St. James of Knysna, a luxurious five-star country house, sits on the serene banks of Knysna Lagoon.

When staying at The St. James of Knysna, you will receive a free 90-minute cruise on our pontoon barge, The Boat. This cruise departs from our private jetty and takes you to explore the upper parts of the Lagoon. It is a peaceful and romantic way to discover the Knysna River estuary, located in the central area of the Garden Route National Park, South Africa's largest unfenced wildlife preserve.

Two lagoon-facing Superior Suites offer magnificent views. The 42m² Lady Anne suite on the first floor has a private balcony overlooking the lagoon and separate lounge area. The newly added Suite 7 (45m²) on the ground floor has an inside and outside seating area and expansive views over the Knysna Lagoon. Both suites have king-size beds; en suite bathrooms with bath, shower, and bathrobes; smart TV with Netflix; air conditioners, mini bars with tea and coffee stations; electronic safes; and direct-dial telephone.
